I walked off the train and saw a huge crowd of people and thought that I would never find Karoline and Ida! I was wandering around, looking like a lost dog and I heard a voice behind me, "are you looking for someone?" And there they were :)
We went to this cute cafe that sells everything from beer and wine to tea and coffee. We had a yummy ciabatta and mozzarella sandwich and a beer called Hansa, which is brewed in Bergen. We sat by the candlelight and chatted with Karoline's friends from school.
We walked around and took pictures and I had amazing tour guides. :) I learned all the history of Bergen! (Right Ida?) I checked out the fish market and the harbor and the beautiful sailboats.
We went to the grocery store and picked up some light snacks (social snacks). We went back to Karoline's place and Frederikke joined us and sat around the table for two hours, eating my last Norwegian supper and chatting.
I am very fortunate for Karoline and Ida for showing me around Bergen and giving me a place to stay for the night (much better than the airport chairs).
Bed time.
Alarm is going off in 4 hours!
It is so wonderful to hear your detailed descriptions of each day. Now you are off to see new places and the beautiful sights of Europe! Be safe!
